About ACE

The ACE Ski and Board Club was established over 30 years ago as the Digital Ski Club, formed by employees of Digital Equipment Corporation.  We have evolved over the years from a company-based club into a self-supporting, standalone, nonprofit corporation, recognized by both the state and the IRS.

The Club's membership has expanded over the years.  We still have many members who are or were affiliated with Digital, Compaq, HP, Cabletron, and Intel, but many other members are friends who just love to ski and board and wanted to join our club.  Our members span much of the Northeastern US, from Maine to New Jersey.

The Club is completely run by volunteers.  We have no paid staff.  Our members pitch in to successfully manage the Club, arrange trips, procure discounts, identify guest speakers for meetings, purchase door prizes, run the meetings, etc.  All members are encouraged to help!
