Recreational Racing Details - 2011/2012

 ACE EICSL Ski Team 2011

Gerry Welch - Chairperson

Over the past 30 ski racing seasons our club racers have recorded an impressive collection of awards and trophies for the ACE Ski and Board Club. At its peak in the 1990's our club had actively 200 plus racers competing in many race programs availabe at that time throughtout the greater New England area. Our racing program still continues to offer most of these racing opportunities, and some new programs for either individuals, family, ACE team member or a training atmostshere.

Even though the economic climate has changed most of these racing activities our club's goal is still to provide our members the opportunity to improve their skiing abilities through recreational racing programs supported either directly or indirecly by us. While we are proud of our many successful years of accomplishments in these program our objectives is to foster the friendly environment that will help you develope and improve your skiing abilities.

Most of the programs are designed to be fun!
You participate in educational experiences while keeping the commitment and cost low.
Whether we attract entry-level first time racers or a highly skilled competitors
our racing program is for all.
Racing is available to you as part of your membership and the options you
select to take part in.

With that all I can say is "Racer Ready..."

 EICSL Racing 2011-12

This is our team ( ACE ) effort where we are not only racing has a team, but individual award are
also given. The Eastern Inter-Club Ski League (EICSL), runs a competitive team
and individual racing program in New Hampshire’s White Mountains area. It is designed for all
ages, abilities and even snowboarders. Season awards are given for both individual and team
competition – a team being comprised of three or more club racers in the same ability class.
Awards are presented at the annual EICSL award banquet party held usually a month after the
race season as ended, all are incoraged to attend. Historically, ACE racers have one of the
highest success levels of racing of all the clubs, winning numerous individual and team awards.
Each of the League races is run by one or two of the participating clubs. All ACE racers are
expected to participate in these Club responsibilities at each race. The individual racer entry fee
for all four days of racing is $25.00 each racer including juniors. In addition, racers MUST
join EICSL (an $8.00 fee) when they submit their ACE Ski Club membership application, along
with their signed EICSL Release Form. EICSL racing dates (all events are on Saturdays) and

The United States Ski Association Masters Program (a.k.a. Masters Circuit) is FIS-like seeded
competition for racers 21 years of age and older. FIS is the international governing body for
Olympic and World Cup ski competition. While Masters racing is not the World Cup, it is the
closest we non-US Ski Team racers can get both in format and race course layout. The USSA
Eastern Division program, known as the Sise Cup, is the largest, and by far the most competitive
program run by USSA. This is your opportunity to compete and compare yourself against former
US national and Olympic team members! F
